According to the development of the plastic restriction order, the Made-in-China website will gradually begin to manage the ban on the sale of plastic products and the over-packaging of commodities. It is recommended that operators on the platform use green-certified express packaging products to limit excessive packaging of food and cosmetics.

Operators on the platform are requested to self-check and self-check according to the following requirements. If there is any involvement, please revise or remove it as soon as possible within 15 days (before July 6). If it is not processed within the time limit, the platform will gradually remove the illegal information from the shelves.

According to the “Notice on Solidly Promoting the Control of Plastic Pollution” and “Opinions on Further Strengthening the Control of Plastic Pollution” by the relevant ministries and commissions, the plastic pollution control arrangements are as follows:

1. Ultra-thin plastic shopping bags with a thickness of less than 0.025 mm

Ultra-thin plastic shopping bags with a thickness of less than 0.025 mm for holding and carrying items; the scope of application refers to the GB/T 21661 “Plastic Shopping Bags” standard.

2. Polyethylene agricultural mulch film with a thickness of less than 0.01 mm

It is a non-degradable agricultural ground cover film made of polyethylene as the main raw material and with a thickness of less than 0.01 mm; the scope of application, film thickness, and mechanical performance indicators refer to the GB13735 “Polyethylene Blown Agricultural Ground Cover Film” standard.

3. Manufacture of plastic products from medical waste

It is prohibited to use medical wastes that are included in the “Medical Waste Management Regulations” and “Medical Waste Classification Catalog” as raw materials to produce plastic products.

4. Disposable foam plastic tableware

Disposable plastic cutlery made of Styrofoam.

5. Disposable plastic cotton swabs

Disposable cotton swabs made of plastic rods, excluding related medical devices.

6. Daily chemical products containing plastic microbeads

For the purpose of scrubbing, exfoliating, cleaning, etc., rinse-off cosmetics (such as body wash, facial cleanser, scrub, shampoo, etc.), toothpaste and tooth powder are intentionally added with solid plastic particles with a particle size of less than  5 mm.

Here’s a summary: The above six categories of products are prohibited from being published on the Made in China website!
